As our country—and the world—reels from the devastating impacts of climate change, the need to accelerate clean energy solutions has assumed new urgency. The confrontation over the Dakota Access Pipeline riveted the nation last year, but the battle for Standing Rock’s future is far from over. The Tribe is in the early stages of planning a utility-scale wind farm that will meet local energy needs while generating revenue and creating jobs on the reservation.
Confluence Philanthropy, The Environmental Grantmakers Association, and Wallace Global Fund invite you to join us on A New Energy Path from Standing Rock webinar Wednesday, December 20th from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm ET to hear about opportunities for interested donors including grants, PRIs, and direct investments. Speakers will include representatives from the Standing Rock Tribal Council, the wind project development team, and supporting foundations.
We look forward to discussing how the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is taking leadership on this vital agenda and serving as a model for a new vision of energy justice.
If you are interested in learning more about the project and participating in the webinar, please RSVP to Kendra Haven at firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope you can join us!
